Lawmakers wary of banning cell-phone use by motorists ignored a bill Tuesday that would have required drivers who want to talk behind the wheel to use hands-free sets.

Two reports came out today that detail how quickly users are adopting the mobile Web and the tools that it offers. According to ABI Research, mobile search grew by 14% from 2007 and 2008, and Opera says that it saw double digit gains in the use of its mobile Web browser between December and January.
Mobile search is no doubt a powerful tool.

At first glance the Memoir resembles a stand-alone digital camera more than a mobile phone. Measuring 4.1 by 2.1 by 0.5 inches, the Memoir fits easily into a pocket.
